National Housing Corporation (NHC) is inviting applications from
suitably qualified, dynamic and good team player candidates to fill the
following vacant positions:.
Technician Electronic Security Systems (1 POST) (Ref.No.NHC/TESS)
The
Technician Electronic Security Systems reports to the Administrative
Manager and has overall responsibility of performing security technical
works in the service, repair, alteration, installation and maintenance
of all security related systems at NHC including resolving immediate
operational and/ or security concerns and maintaining a preventive
maintenance program.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
Perform service and installation of access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems
Evaluates, diagnose, troubleshoot systems
Assist in the development on training programs for employees.
Upgrades and additions to system in order to increase functionality and usability.
Carries
out computer program entry as required to add closed circuit television
cameras, access control devices and intrusion alarm systems as
required.
Informs staff regarding procedures and/ or status of work
orders for a purpose of providing necessary information for making
decisions, taking appropriate actions.
Respond to emergency situations during or after work hours for the purpose of resolving immediate security concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
A holder of diploma in Computing and Information Technology.
He
/She must have working experience of at least 5 years in installing,
servicing and maintaining access control and closed circuit television
systems in a large organization.
Working in a reputable multinational
organization shall be an added advantage. He/she must maintain
confidentiality of work related information and materials ..
Must
have effective communication and Interpersonal skills including tact and
diplomacy. Must have effective organization and planning skills.
Ability to work independently.
Health Safety & Environmental Officer (1 POST).
The
Health Safety & Environmental Officer reports to the Administration
Manager and has overall responsibility of ensuring safety and health of
staff working at NHC and sites.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
Ensures
that safety standards are maintained and continually seek ways to
improve safety standards. Establishes and ensure implementation of best
safety practices at all construction sites.
Advice; contractors on
all matters pertaining to safety and health training as stipulated in
HSE manual. Ensures that all personnel have received appropriate safety
and health training as stipulated in HSE manual. Plans and implements
safety and health programs and promotional activities that will improve
safety and health safety and health awareness.
Conducts safety review
at least once every quarter 1'6 review the achievements of the safety
and health objectives and improvement of HSE manual.
Brief and
instruct contractors of the safety and health procedures and
instructions that they and their employees are required to comply with.
Ensure availability of project site safety plan for each site.
Qualifications and Experience:
A
holder of University Degree in Bsc in Environmental sciences/
Environmental Engineering or civil engineering or its Equivalent.
Must Possess qualification certificates(s) under OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 or ISO 9001 management systems.
She/he
must have minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in HSE
Management in construction, real estate or mining industry.
Must have effective communication and Interpersonal skills .
Should
have problem solving skills with the ability to research issues and
contribute to the development of innovative options, strategies and
recommendations.
Assistant Accountants (9 POSTS) (Ref.No.NHC/HSEO)
The
Assistant Accountant reports to the Heads of Sections and has overall
responsibilities for assisting in preparation of annual cash budgets and
periodical budget Control statements including maintaining cash book.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
Preparation of cash book and bank reconciliation statements.
Booking of suppliers invoices, updating of creditors ledger.
Preparation
of payment vouchers in compliance with all the payment procedures
Maintaining assets and expenditure ledger and prepares monthly Trial
balance. Compilation of monthly rent collection and arrears reports.
Periodic posting of all stock data in the General Ledger and ensure that the data reconcile with the stock records.
Prepares monthly General ledger reconciliations
Provides support in preparing and analyzing periodic income and expenditure reports while observing all the accounting standards
Assists in Monitoring loan and financial policies.
Assists
in preparation of monthly project expenditure (WIP) reports.
Preparation of schedule of various stocks at the end of the year
Qualifications and Experience:
A holder of a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Business Administration in relevant field
Working experience of at least 2 years Within a relevant field, fresh graduates who are trainable can also be considered.
Good
communication skills both written and spoken in English and Kiswahili
High proficiency in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Economics
Must be computer literate.
